The fire occurred in the 900 block of Henderson Avenue as storms moved through the area. Firefighters responded to the scene and worked to contain the blaze as flames engulfed part of the apartment complex. At least one apartment building was destroyed in the fire. Officials have not yet confirmed the cause, but early reports indicate a lightning strike may have sparked the blaze. There is currently no word on injuries, and the extent of any additional damage has not been released. The incident remains under investigation. Fire crews from Seabrook, Forest Bend, and League City helped put out the blaze.
