Lemonade Day Builds Young Entrepreneurs Through Hands-On Learning In Galveston County Young entrepreneurs across Galveston County are getting a hands-on lesson at the Lemonade Day “Build a Stand, Spark a Dream” event. The event series is designed to teach kids how to start, build, and run their own lemonade stands. Organized by the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce, the program guides participants through every step of the process. Kids learn practical life skills like earning, saving, and giving back to their communities. The event was held in the Chalmers Hardware parking lot. Chalmers Hardware helped provide materials and support for children and has been a supporter of the chamber and Lemonade Day for 16 years. Families and community members have embraced the program, noting its impact beyond business education. Some parents say it offers a rare opportunity for kids to step away from screens and work together on a meaningful project. Lemonade Day will take place on May 2, when residents are encouraged to support local youth by visiting lemonade stands set up throughout the county.
