First Food Truck “Beach Bites” Opens on Stewart Beach Beach Bites Galveston, the island's first food truck permitted to operate directly on the beach, is quickly becoming a local favorite. Owners Benjamin and Natasha Hayoun started their venture about a month an a half ago, driven by a desire to offer fresh, homemade food directly to beachgoers. All of their items are homemade, and they said that their signature burger is “the best burger on the island” Benjamin, while owning a few business on the island, saw that their wasn’t enough food services on the beach itself, and said that it was an inconvenience to leave the beach to grab a bite to eat. So he and his wife took it upon themselves to open their first food business on the beach for everyone to enjoy. Beach Bites is located at 401 Seawall, Stewart Beach. The Hayouns chose this location because Stewart Beach is one of Galveston's popular beaches and offers the added convenience of being right next to the public showers and changing rooms. This position ensures that hungry beach visitors have easy access to delicious, authentic meals without ever having to leave the fun.
