Mustang lovers can rev their engines this weekend in Galveston Mustang enthusiasts will have several opportunities this weekend to pursue their passion for Ford’s iconic sports car. Called Mustang Week Texas, organizers are holding events in Angleton, Houston, and Galveston through this weekend, offering chances for sports car fans to watch races, get behind the wheel, take part in some racing and drifting ride-alongs, or show off their own Mustangs. Thursday (4/24/2025) marked the start of the Mustang Week racing event taking place across the Galveston and Houston area. The Thursday kick off at MSR Houston in Angleton showed a preview of the action to come the rest of the weekend. Spectators will be able to see racing, drifting, drag racing, fireworks shows, and ride along with racers to experience racing first hand. Friday (4/25/2025) track day will take place at Houston Motorsports Park starting at 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM. Friday evening starting at 6:30 PM, will be the Mustang Night Meetup, held at Moody Gardens. The remainder of the event Saturday (4/26/2025) and Sunday (4/27/2025) will be held at Moody Gardens. Saturday starting at 10:00 AM, will be the Mustang Week Texas Car Show, with a night show at 6:30 PM including a drifting and burn out show, as well as a monster truck show. Racers and spectators alike have come to the Texas show from around the country. This year's Mustang Weekend will be the first time the event is held in Texas, with it previously being in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Drivers of all backgrounds are racing at the event, from novice to pro levels, who are excited to put on a show for viewers.
