Espinoza pleads guilty to all charges at start of intoxicated manslaughter, intoxicated assault trial Miguel Espinoza is charged with four counts of intoxicated manslaughter and one count of intoxicated assault in connection to an August 6, 2022 crash that took the lives of Felipe Bentancur, 49; Destiny Uvalle, 25; Brailyn Cantu, 14; and Kaisyn Bentancur, 4. The jury had just taken their seats and the charges were read aloud in the courtroom. When asked how he plead to each charge, Espinoza declared he was guilty. The case then went straight into the punishment phase with prosecutors asking that the jury of 7 women and 6 men sentence Espinoza to the maximum sentence of 90 years in prison.
