Wounded Warriors Bike Ride in Texas City draws more than 100 riders A bike ride involving veterans, wounded veterans and retired members of the U.S. armed services. The event aims to raise awareness and foster camaraderie and support for the non-profit veterans service organization Wounded Warriors. Texas City Mayor Dedrick Johnson was on hand for the start of the ride to encourage the riders and encourage the public to show support for the riders. Aaron Brooks, a U.S. Army veteran, thanked the mayor for his participation and given a Wounded Warrior Project hat and a challenge coin. The event is in its third year in Texas City with riders going throughout the city.
