Galveston County Sheriff raids two massage parlors as part of prostitution/human trafficking operation The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division on Thursday (3/20/2025) led a prostitution/human trafficking raid on massage parlors in League City and Webster. The sheriff's office said the lunchtime raids came after a three-week investigation. Two locations were raided. The Royal Thai Massage, 1825 East Main Street in League City, and Leela Thai Massage, 17333 El Camino Real in Webster. The Sheriff's office said both operations are fronts for prostitution-related activities. At the League City location, the Sheriff's Office arrested 𝗬𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝗶𝘂 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝟱𝟳, on the charge of Aggravated Promotion of Prostitution. Law enforcement also searched an apartment in the 1200 block of NASA Parkway as part of the investigation. The Sheriff's Office Organized Crime Task Force received assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, Texas Rangers, Webster Police, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office in the raids. Staff from the human trafficking prevention organization Unbound were also part of the operation to help identify and provide assistance resources for victims of the human trafficking sex trade. Many of the women at the locations were identified as possible human trafficking victims. At the League City location, one man who was a customer was detained for questioning.
