Aerial view of crash which brought traffic to a crawl on I-45 in La Marque Texas City area Thursday evening (2/27/2025) the Galveston County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash involving 2 vehicles on I-45 Southbound, on the overpass above FM 1764. The crash was believed to have been caused by both drivers attempting to change lanes to the middle lane of the freeway at the same time, one driver in the left lane, and the other on the right. 1 of the drivers was transported by EMS from the scene without life threatening injury. Traffic was brought down to 1 out of 3 lanes open Southbound on the freeway while scene was being handled. Neither party was issued any charges or citations, and no driver was determined to be at fault for the crash.
