Couple dead after apparent murder-suicide in Texas City Detectives are investigating a likely murder-suicide in which a man and woman were shot to death Wednesday (2/5/2025) morning. Detectives were called to a house in the 2100 block of 3rd Avenue North at about 10:50 AM. When they arrived, a man and a woman, both in their 60s, were found dead inside the house. Authorities did not release details about the couple because Detective Jeff Winstead said the investigation is in its preliminary stages. Galveston County Medical Examiner’s investigator DJ Florenece said an autopsy would have to determine who was killed first.
