Texas City woman faces intoxicated manslaughter, intox assault charges after fatal head-on crash in Galveston A crash on Harborside Drive near 29th Street in Galveston on Monday (1/20/2025) resulted in a fatality, Galveston police said. The crash happened at about 5:50 PM after a westbound BMW SUV crashed head-on into an eastbound Toyota Tacoma. One of the five people inside the Tacoma was killed, and the others were taken to the hospital for injuries. The lone driver of the BMW, Alexis Cisneros, 34, of Texas City, was jailed on charges of intoxicated manslaughter and four counts of intoxicated assault with a motor vehicle. Cisneros was booked on bonds totaling $150,000. Jail records show that an additional DWI enhancement was added to the charges, so she won’t be released if she posts bond. All lanes of Harborside were closed for the first responder response and crash investigation. Several ambulances were called to the crash site to transport 4 people to UTMB Health’s Trauma Center at John Sealy Hospital. The extent of their injuries was unconfirmed as of Tuesday morning.
