Galveston County leaders gathered to share their city plans for 2025 On Wednesday (01/09/2025) Galveston County’s mayors and city council members gathered for a special dinner hosted at the Galveston Railroad Museum, an event designed to foster collaboration and celebrate the achievements of local municipalities. The dinner was co-hosted by the cities of Jamaica Beach, Bayou Vista, Tiki Island, and Hitchcock. “This event is an opportunity for us to share with the general public what’s happening in each of our cities,” Tina Sifuentes, Community Coordinator of the city of Jamaica Beach, said. “It’s a privilege to work together and highlight the efforts and progress across the county.” The evening, which welcomed approximately 160 attendees. Organizers emphasized the significant planning that went into creating the event, reflecting a shared commitment to community-building and fellowship.
