Attic Blaze in Friendswood Home Draws Multi-City Fire Response At 11:34 this morning (12/7/2024) the Friendswood Fire Department got the call that there was a house fire in the 16000 block of Forest Bend Ave. There were residents in the house when the call was made. With the help of the dispatched firemen, the residents were evacuated from the house. Everyone is safe with no reported injuries. "It appears it started in the vicinity of the attic, it's still under investigation." says Stan Kozlowski, the Friendswood Fire Chief, when asked about the cause of the fire. The fire had grown significantly before it was detected, creating challenges for the firefighters. Crews from Pearland, Webster, League City, and Forest Bend assisted the Friendswood firefighters, deploying eight apparatus to contain the blaze. It took approximately 45 minutes to fully extinguish the fire.
