A man who was ejected from his Jeep while headed northbound on Gulf Freeway was reportedly in stable condition despite having been thrown from one side of the freeway to the other on Friday afternoon (10/18/2024). The crash happened around 2:15 PM on the 1500 block of Interstate 45 northbound toward Texas City. The Jeep was heading northbound when the driver lost control and struck a concrete divider. The driver was thrown out of the vehicle and landed in the southbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway. La Marque Fire Department and Galveston County Sheriff's Office were the first responders to the crash. The driver who was ejected had severe injuries but was reportedly in stable condition when he was transported by ground ambulance to the trauma center at UTMB Health John Sealy Hospital.
