La Peska Seafood restaurant celebrates grand opening A lifelong dream came to fruition for Ernesto Rodriguez as he celebrated his 40th birthday earlier this year by opening La Peska Seafood Restaurant in Galveston. The Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed La Peska to chamber membership Thursday night (9/23/2022) with a ribbon cutting in conjunction with La Peska's grand opening celebration. La Peska, 728 Seawall, opened on June 3, 2022 fulfilling Rodriguez's dream of opening his own restaurant. La Peska offers a wide range of Mexican food and seafood, with grilled fish tacos and margaritas among the most popular items on the menu. Upstairs is an outdoor patio area featuring live music on most weekends, with a view of the Gulf of Mexico that Rodriguez said is the "best view on the island."
