UTMB public health and biomedical students receive doctorates The graduates of UTMb School of Population and Health Program and the school of Biomedical Sciences celebrated their commencement on May 17th. Just like many other graduates both Nikki Lloyd and Khamron Michaels have had quite the journey during their studies. Despite facing challenges, the graduates of UTMB emerged stronger and more skilled, thanks in part to the unique circumstances brought on by the pandemic. Nikki's experience in experimental pathology during such a tumultuous time provided her with invaluable insights and skills. Similarly, Khamron's dedication to rehabilitation science amidst adversity speaks volumes about his resilience and commitment to his field. Nikki received her PHD in Experimental Pathology and Khamron received his PhD through UTMB School of Public Population and Health Program. Moving forward, both graduates seem poised for success. Khamron's pursuit of a post-doctoral fellowship in social work at the University of Texas in Austin demonstrates his continued passion for making a difference in public health and population well-being. As for Nikki, her expertise in experimental pathology opens up numerous opportunities for impactful research and contributions to the biomedical sciences
