Great Wolf Lodge in Webster set for Labor Day Weekend opening The wolf pack is coming to Webster a few months early. Officials with Great Wolf Lodge Texas Gulf Coast, the 500-plus-room resort with a large indoor water park and rope walk under construction in Webster, announced that the family-friendly resort is scheduled to open Labor Day weekend. Initially, Great Wolf Lodge was scheduled to open in October. The Great Wolf Lodge Texas Gulf Coast in Webster will have 532 guest rooms, a 61,000-square-foot adventure park, and a 92,000-square-foot water park. General Manager Keith Furnas said it will be the company’s 21st resort but the first Gen 4 concept. It will include several new attractions not seen in other Great Wolf Lodge resorts. All the amenities include restaurants, casual dining, and meeting space under one roof. That is what driveable, leisure-family travelers want, Great Wolf Lodge CEO John Murphy said. Murphy said the company gears its properties toward families who can get to their destinations by car. Murphy said a market that's seen a significant increase since the forced COVID shutdowns. With the earlier opening date, the company also announced up to 30% off if booked online by May 5 with the code LaborDayOpen.
