Moody Gardens spring break, summer activities upcoming Moody Gardens Spring 2024 day camps are open to kids in kindergarten through eighth grade during spring break. Camp days are scheduled for Monday (3/11/2024) through Friday (3/15/2024) at Moody Gardens, 1 Hope Blvd., in Galveston. The camp includes attraction experiences per day (weather dependent); with different program activities, ambassador animal presentations, games, crafts and experiments making every camp week unique. Before care from 8 to 9:30AM and after care from 4:30 to 6PM is available for an additional cost after registration. For members, the cost is $50 per day and non-members pay $60. For more information, visit https://www.moodygardens.com/plan_event/education/pyramidcamps/ The Society for the Advancement of Volunteer Youths or S.A.V.Y. offers teens (ages 13 to 17) the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of career fields while volunteering to improve their local community for free. During the summer S.A.V.Ys will volunteer in education, biology, conservation and tourism using education and interaction displays to connect our animals and conservation programs with Moody Gardens guests while gaining public speaking skills. Throughout the summer S.A.V.Y.s attend Continuing Education Classes (C.E.C.s), which range in topics from education to conservation to zoology. There also are leadership opportunities for S.A.V.Y.s through Volunteer Swaps, Counselor-In-Training Program and Special Projects. Applications are required and interviews will be conducted to be accepted into the program. Applications must be received by: 5PM Friday (3/29/2024).
