REPLAY: Krewe of Gambrinus Light Up the Night Mardi Gras Parade 2024 Fun and games were the theme for the first big night parade of Mardi Gras Galveston on Saturday (2/3/2024). Join i45NOW's TJ Aulds and Krewe of Gambrinus' Richard and Carol Ivey as we present the 35th annual Krewe of Gambrinus Light Up the Night Mardi Gras parade. After a morning of downpours and gray skies, Mardi Gras Galveston enjoyed a crisp and clear night for the parade. Thousands of people lined Galveston’s famed Seawall and downtown Strand District for the parade. This year’s parade theme was Games People Play, including one float that paid tribute to the Houston Oilers and Derek Dolls. The parade featured dancers, high school bands, and drill teams.
