The shooting was at Island Bay Resort Apartments, the victim approached a vehicle after being shot, which began taking him to the hospital, before police arrived. Police then found the vehicle and EMS transported the victim from the Walgreens on 61st Street. *** Galveston Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Island Bay Resort Apartments at 7400 Jones Drive. A male victim with a gunshot wound was found behind the Walgreens off 61st Street about 1 mile from the apartment complex. According to Captain Xavier Hancock of Galveston Police, the victim was driven to the back of the Walgreens by a private vehicle before police and EMS arrived to render aid.
