Dickinson man charged in stabbing death to see trial Monday On August 4, 2022, a 47-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Dickinson apartment complex. The man charged with the murder, William Dwayne Sheppard, 44, will see trial on Monday (1/8/2024). Dickinson police were called to the Creekside Apartments, 400 block of Deats Road, on August 4, 2022, just after 5:30 PM, on the report of a stabbing. Officers found Jonathon Castillo, 47, who was stabbed. He was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake where he died. After a brief search, Dickinson police located Sheppard and arrested him. Since his arrest, Sheppard has been in the custody of the Galveston County jail on a $500,000 bond. He was indicted by a Galveston County grand jury on November 17, 2022. During that indictment, Sheppard’s criminal history was discussed, dating back to 1999 with robberies, assaulting a public servant and tampering with evidence. Sheppard’s trial is set for Monday (1/8/2024) in the 405th District Court with Judge Jared Robinson.
