League City’s Holiday in the Park theme revealed A 26-year-old holiday tradition in League City will have a new theme in 2023, “Christmas Vacation.” The 3-day event highlights small businesses, holiday parades and festive activities. Thursday (9/21/2023), Hometown Bank of League City gave League City Proud a $10,000 check to help them put on the weekend celebration. Friday night, December 1, will be a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” by Mrs. Clause. After will be a movie in League Park. Saturday, December 2, will start with the children’s parade in front of Butler’s Courtyard at 10 AM. That will follow up with the vendor’s market in League Park with many small businesses selling festive crafts and gifts. This leads up to the Grand Night Parade on Main Street. The parade starts at 6 PM with the bells ringing at St. Mary’s. You should be in your spot by 5 PM because that’s when the road closes. Sunday, December 3, will be the pet parade at League Park at 12:45 PM. To register for any parades, volunteering and all other information, visit leaguecityproud.com
